I absolutely LOVE this podcast!!! So much good info. From the ‘dating the same dude’- noticing the red flags – having self control – you have to be open to what you really want. I am definitely going to start making a list. Bcuz I am now more than certain I have met tons of good men & sadly I always dismiss the good ones & choose the Inmates (either on their way 2, in, or recently paroled) . & now looking back my 1st love was just that (a parolee) . & for some crazy reason, I found comfort in dealing w/that b.s. way 2 long! I definitely needed 2 hear this! I must do better! Starting with working on Myself! I am one moody m.f. (not a good look) Thx so much 4 posting this. Now to start my list….

I have consciously made an effort to not say the ‘men ain’t shyt’ or the ‘all men are dogs’ lines..because I don’t want to speak that into my existence. The more you speak negative thoughts the more you attract what you’re speaking on I think. Though Ive dated the worst of the worst and the best of the best, I take every experience on an individual basis. You can’t group everyone in one box because of what you’ve had. Also be aware of red damn flags!

I will have to write a note regarding good men and how to attract them and believing good men do exist. So in order for me to write a concise comment all I have to say is “I knew it, Exactly, Uh-huh and I Know”! Good one!

I agree with you Chanel! It is important to look within ourselves and know what we want, expect, need and desire from potential mates! We can’t be wishy washy with our list! Many times and I am guilty of this as well, is that I will make compromises on issues that I know are EXTREMELY important!!! Sure, a good relationship requires some compromise but we all know that there are things that we hold dear that we must NOT give up because we are afraid to be alone. I had a Godmother who once said that a piece of man is better than nothing. This statement is dangerous and most men and women have suffered behind that statement! Men and women should never settle or become wishy washy about who they are, their convictions and what they expect from a potential mate! Say it, mean it and stick to it!!!
