My family in Haiti has lived through a lot. From a shaky infrastructure, to natural disasters, to kidnappings, to coups. Even the youngest of generations have witnessed these things. Despite these hardships they have still remained proud of their country. They are still happy to call it home.

The lack of resources that the Haitian people suffer from is what is making a horrible situation even worse. They have no hospitals, they have no fire departments, their buildings were erected in the flimsiest way possible because they had no codes in place to follow.
